Strollin'

I finally got my new stroller! I think I ordered it at the beginning of November or something, it has been a long wait. And I love it! I tried it out today with the girls. It is lightweight, easy to push, has lots of compartments to store things in, folds up easy and best of all, Natalie likes it. We'll be out and about a lot more now, I'm so excited!

Do you hear that?

Natalie's latest obsession:

Natalie: Do you hear that? (Looks around with a concerned look on her face)
Melissa: What is it?
Natalie: It's Swiper the Sneaky Fox. No take my necklace Swiper! Swiper, noooo swiping! Swiper, noooo swiping! (Natalie holds her hand out in front of her to stop Swiper)

If you don't recognize what Natalie's talking about, good for you! I bet most of you do know though. =)

This is repeated about 15 times throughout the day, much to my dismay.

Blessing Day

Annette had her blessing on Sunday, and it went really well. It was a surprisingly low-stress day, and I really enjoyed it. She's a very sweet baby and we're so glad to have her in our family now.

Check out Natalie's cheesy smile!

Bullets

I am following Katie's format of writing in bullets, because I too, am really tired.

*Annette is really sick right now, it is so awful hearing your three month old cough and struggle to breathe, I brought her to the doctor, and there is not much you can do except wait it out.
*Natalie gave Annette what she had, I think, she's had it a lot longer, but when I took her with me to Annette's appointment the doctor informed me after unofficially looking in her ears, that she had two ear infections and liquid in both ears.
*I am running on fumes...three or four nights of very little sleep, probably because I have a baby who can't breathe very well.
*I don't know why I'm posting all this, I think I just need an outlet, I'm a little stressed right now.
*I don't think I'm as good at bullet writing as Katie is.
*That is all for now!

Endless TV

Okay, I'm starting to feel really guilty about how much Natalie watches tv. I'm going to just confess how much I let her watch it. Then, I want you to either a)tell me your child watches just as much or more, or b)give me suggestions on what you have done to help cut down on tv time. It's usually on 1 1/2 to 2 hours in the morning and I will let her watch 1/2 hour to 1 hour in the afternoon. This does not even count the time she watches her dvd player in the car. Which I don't turn on every time we go anywhere, but I will turn it on probably half the time. Wow, I can't believe I'm telling you all this, now I feel even guiltier, but I really do want some help and advice!

The Magic Chair

Okay, I'm seriously in shock right now! We have a magic chair. Annette has been a little unpredictable at night, not during the night, but just when she goes down and if she cries or not. Anyway, I was getting Natalie ready for bed last night, she was in the tub and I was walking with Annette wrapped tightly in her miracle blanket. I had to put her down so I could get Nat out of the bath and into her pj's and stuff. I put her down in her baby papasan, totally expecting her to cry as soon as I placed her gently in it, but (gasp), she didn't! She sucked happily away on her pacifier while I got Natalie in her pj's, combed her hair, and read her a story. After I put Natalie in her crib I came back to get Annette, but she was almost asleep, I told myself, "Why rock the boat?" and left her to it. She fell asleep within minutes, no crying, and stayed asleep until she got hungry around 1 am (by the way, I moved her to her crib at about 9pm). What?? I'm floored. Well, this morning I decided to finally take a shower at about 11am, put Annette in the chair, she smiled at me while I took my shower, I got out, and a few minutes later my baby was asleep in her little papasan. Well, it's 2:00 now, I decided to see if it was just a fluke, I just put her in her chair, she seriously fell asleep within two minutes. Whatever...I'll take it!

By the way, our camera is in the shop. I dropped it. This picture was at my shower, and I am 9 months pregnant. Hopefully, we'll have the camera back by Annette's blessing. =)

Two Kids

Okay, so I'm sure a lot of you that read this blog have already gone through this, but I have about 20 minutes where I am without a child during the day. I will seriously put Natalie down for her nap when I hear little Annette crying, go get her out of bed, a little while later, put Annette down for another nap, and hear little Natalie singing in her crib. I know, I chose this! It is wonderful, but for the love! Can we just sleep at the same time, is that too much to ask? Yes, yes it is.

Fiasco Number Two

James and I have reached a milestone in our role as parents. We have now survived a trip to the Emergency Room. Natalie was playing with her cousins when she decided to pull a stocking hanging from the fireplace. The stocking came down, along with its holder, splitting open the area just above her lip. It wasn't too bad, she was playing again within 5 minutes, but since it was on her face, we wanted to play it safe. So after 3 hours (8-11pm) in the ER, Natalie came home a little high and with three stitches. It's already looking great, and it's only been 5 days, but we were told that we need to put sunscreen on it three times a day for a year so it doesn't bleach. Natalie did awesome at the hospital, she was so brave and hardly cried at all. And at the end, she got a purple popsicle, which at times we had to guide into her mouth because she was a little out of it.
