Sizzlin' Summer Swap

I thought I'd try Beth's Sizzlin' Summer Swap and I got my package!! Thanks Cristina! It was really fun to put together her package and then get one for myself in the mail, I would definitely do it again...maybe not next week, but in a couple months or so.

Here's what I got:

S-Mike and Ike's and Sugar Babies, you can never go wrong with candy!
U-the cute beach bag, we've already used it!
M-a really great Summer mix cd, we've been dancing to it all weekend.
M-a candle and some samples of Philosophy products, I love trying the new products, and they smell so yummy!
E-a book and snacks to keep Nat busy, she loves them!
R-magazines...one of my favorite things to do!

Thanks again, Cristina, I loved everything!

Happy 5 Years

James and my anniversary was on Thursday. We had quite the fun week. On Wednesday night we went to the Orange County Fair and saw Toad the Wet Sprocket and Guster in concert. Toad is a nostalgic band for me and has grown on James and Guster is a band we discovered at a John Mayer concert. Nobody, as of yet, has known who Guster is when I have told them we were going to their concert...so sad. But if you have heard of them, please let me know!

Please excuse the chubby cheeks (on me).

On Thursday we drove up to L.A. and went to "Wicked" at the Pantages theater. We had wonderful seats, about 10 rows back and center. What a fun play! We really enjoyed it, it was worth sitting in traffic for two and a half hours. Thanks James for a fabulous anniversary, I love you!

Finally...

A book I can't put down...

I have read quite a few books this summer, all pretty good. I was really aching for a book that I could get excited to read though, not just one I was semi-interested in. I started this book two days ago and am over 250 pages in. I just have to say...Yes!

Coronado Highlights

I had another break from the blog...James and I had either the stomach flu or food poisoning last week, not fun. What would I do without a mother who lives 15 minutes away and was willing to take Natalie all day Friday so I could lie on the couch and watch Lifetime movies? Anyway, here are some highlights from our trip, enjoy!

Nat performing her new somersault trick

Julie and Natalie...it's just fun to be naked, what can I say?

The tram at the Wild Animal Park, and Natalie climbing on me, not a rare occurrence.

Natalie's first pedicure.

Our 4th of July butterfly

Sometimes we just need to be held like a little baby

A glimpse of the fireworks excitement

This is a rare moment, Natalie sitting quietly on Daddy's lap...and she's not watching tv!

Natsky and her new cousin, "Katewyn" as Nat calls her, I just thought this was a cute pic.

Random Purchases

I went to Joann's yesterday looking for fabric to make curtains for my downstairs bathroom. This is what I came out of the store with...luckily the total was $5. Why do I spend my money on this kind of stuff?? Oh yeah, because of a little girl named Natalie.

Popsicle molds.

Plastic scissors that probably will only cut play-doh (good for an almost 2 year old)

A mini hairbrush for Natalie

Hotel Del

So here's where we were! I have always wanted to stay at this hotel and I was not disappointed. It's old and beautiful, the room was great, and the hotel is literally steps from the ocean. Can't get much better than that!

Home.

As you may have noticed, we've been out of town. And though vacations are always something to look forward to and go by so quickly, it's always nice to come home. I still have a lot of catch up to do, but isn't that part of the fun? We did manage to plant some new flowers on our porch, since upon our return ours were completely dead and super ugly. So now I'm off to do the laundry, check all my blogs, and get our house back in order!
