Lizzie's Blessing

Our niece, Lizzie, was blessed last Sunday. Most of my family was able to attend, including my Grandpa (Natalie called him Gandpa Took).

It is a difficult thing to pose children, this was the best picture of the lot if that says anything. Jacob, Maia, Natalie, Lily.

Finally, a nice picture of just James and me (and little one on the way)

Freakonomics

It's really rare for me to read a non-fiction book. I am definitely a novel reader. But James and I checked this book out at the library (thanks for the suggestion, Dave) and it is quite the interesting book. It is one of those books you keep talking about and has strange but interesting facts in it. For example, one chapter is titled, "Why do Drug Dealers still Live with their Moms?". So I challenge you novel readers to pick this book up, I don't think it will disappoint. James, who always takes months to finish books, finished this one in three days. =) After reading this book, you can suddenly seem really intellectual when you say, "Did you know that Seinfeld never even made it to the Top 50 tv shows of african american audiences?". Who woulda thunk?

What is it about blue?

Why does blue make me so happy? I don't know...it just does.

What's your favorite color?

Check this out...

You must see this nursery, I think it is perhaps the cutest I have ever seen. Where do these people get their creativity? Can I have some...please!

Disneyland

Here are some pics of our fun trip to Disneyland. Although I might not recommend going two days in a row for 10 hours each day when you're 5 months pregnant. I am positive that I was more tired than Natalie when we left both days. Usually you see grumpy kids leaving the park, it was a grumpy mommy this time. But we loved it and already want to take her back (we got passes).

The ride on the tram over, I think this is the best smile we got out of Natalie on any ride.

Our little "Minnie"

Natalie is more interested in the seat belt than in the huge caterpillar ride.

The highlight of the trip...meeting Mickey Mouse in person.

Her face says it all...

So. Cal. Vacation

Last week our friends Dave and Holly brought their daughters, Inez and Gwen, to come visit us. We had a great time galavanting around Southern California.
