Happy Belated Birthday, James!

Okay, James' birthday was October 10th, but I still wanted to blog the party we had for him. We had the fam over and made pasta with three sauces, yum-O! Special thanks to Rachael Ray. Then we had cake, chocolate with chocolate frosting of course! Good times =)

Chairs and Shoes

Two things Natalie loves to do: 1. sit on chairs, 2. put on shoes. She likes to try out all different kinds of chairs: kitchen chairs, barstools, office swivel chairs, benches, little chairs, etc. So James and I bought her a laughing, shaking Elmo chair (another one of Natalie's loves) which she sits on on occasion. But she still loves the big people chairs! If Natalie finds a pair of shoes, she will carry them saying "sssoe, sssoe" and Mommy or Daddy will then put them on her. Such fun!

Most Embarrasing Moment

My friend Stephanie asked us to post our most embarrasing moments, hers was really good, by the way. My most embarrasing moment was when I was a Freshman in High School. I had Biology first period with mostly Sophmores and Juniors. I had started Seminary this year, which I had to get up at about 5:30 am for, so I was still getting used to this early schedule.

So I was in Biology and I fell asleep. Next thing I know, I wake up and the whole class is staring and laughing at me. I look down, and there is a huge puddle of drool on my desk, I immediately put my head back down and covered it up with my arms. I was shell shocked, I didn't know what to do, so I cleaned it up with the sleeves of my sweatshirt while the teacher tried handing me a kleenex (while he was laughing) and said, "Do you need some help?" I was mortified!!

Okay, so now it's the end of the year, about 9 months later, we're all signing yearbooks and one of my friends that happened to be in my Biology class wrote, "that was so funny when Mr. Kearle used an eyedropper and put drool on your desk, ha ha!" I had not known until that moment that the drool was in fact fake, and that the teacher was pulling a trick on me! I was actually quite relieved though. I hear that the teacher tells that story every year to his students and warns them that they better not fall asleep in his class.
